In 2025, I returned to my musical roots by learning the Pipa (琵琶), a traditional four-stringed Chinese lute. After years of classical training on the piano and violin, the pipa has been a rewarding challenge, requiring me to translate my musical foundation into a new cultural and technical framework. 

Outside of music, I am dedicated to a range of personal pursuits: I take weekly Chinese lessons, stay active through swimming and golf, and enjoy finding innovative ways to integrate data analysis and AI into my daily life and utilize them for storytelling. 

Following my graduation in December 2022, I embarked on a six-month solo journey across Europe and Asia. My travels took me through iconic cities—from London and Paris to Istanbul, Singapore, and beyond. A major highlight was my three-month immersion in Seoul, where I studied Korean at Seoul National University’s Language Education Institute. Beyond the landmarks, I am most grateful for the global friendships I formed and the deep dive into Korean culture that defined my time abroad.

During my senior year in 2022, I witnessed the rapid transformation of Austin’s urban landscape firsthand. To better understand the localized real estate boom, I developed a comprehensive map of the student housing developments in West Campus. This project tracks the density and scale of the new high-rise residential projects that have reshaped the living experience for the UT Austin community.
